How to Avoid IT Interview Flubs

In any job interview, a single misplaced word can change you from a dream candidate to a potential nightmare. To help you avoid stumbling into dangerous grounds at those next few interviews you get, the folks at eWEEK pubbed a nice round up of the top ten errors that could cost you your next callback. A great read for all of you job seekers out there.

A study released the week of Aug. 28 by Menlo Park, Calif., staffing firm Accountemps found that one of the most common mistakes made by candidates in job interviews was having little or no knowledge of the company, according to 47 percent of the senior executives surveyed.

  • Haha.. Ya.. when being interviewed by the Director of Technology and the current System Administrator, and you are asked, "Where do you see yourself in Five Years?".

    Answering to the System Administrator: "I'd see myself doing your job," Is not considered being a "Go-Getter".
