Firefox Downloaded 200 Million Times

Mozilla announced today that since its launch in November 2004, the Firefox web browser has been downloaded more then 200 million times; roughly the equivalent of about 6 times the total population of Canada. How great is that?

If you're still caught using IE and wish to give Firefox a try, go ahead and please yourself; you've got nothing to lose.

  • i just got it last week. after months and months of hating my IE.

    yayy!!! its margarita night!

  • Well, Firefox sure is a great browser, but in my opinion, Opera is the best one available.

Don't look at me this way. I simply love the session resuming!

Firefox developers: put session resuming in as a base component and you've won my heart.

  • 200 million is certainly impressive! Thanks for covering this milestone and being a supporter. We've linked to you on our new site launched to commemorate the occasion and the effort put in by contributors: http://www.thefoxtales.com. There you can trace the story of Firefox and share your own stories.

    Thanks again!
