LED Architecture picture gallery

While browsing my list of daily reads, I stumbled upon this fantastic picture gallery featuring LED covered buildings from all around the world.

Light-emitting diodes, or LEDs, are reinventing the look and feel of skylines, bridges, facades and other architectural surfaces around the globe. The light bulb is being unscrewed by energy-efficient LEDs that are both environmentally friendly and cost-effective. The $10.2 billion industry is growing to provide new design options for architects and planners.

Just imagine what cities would look like if all skyscrapers would be illuminated like this. Apart from making buildings look great, LEDs would help tenants save a lot of money out of their energy bill.

Check it out.

  • I'm glad you liked the photo blog that I put together for Wired. I think LED lights are definitly going to change the way we use architecural space.
