Windows Vista delayed yet again!

Reuters reports that MS Windows Vista may be delayed yet again, this time by an additional 3 months.

The research note, released to clients on Monday, said the new Windows Vista operating system is too complex to be able to meet Microsoft's targeted November release for volume license customers and January launch for retail consumers.

Too complex?!? Usually, the business versions of Microsoft's operating systems are more complex then the consumer ones. Is Microsoft trying to hide something from us?

  • It depends on how you look at it. Desktop OS'es usually have a lot more (different things) to do than your average server OS, thus, more complexity..

  • Well, in this case, we're talking about 2 desktop OSs.. but for 2 different environment. In the past, the business OSs have always been more complex then consumer one..

Let's wait and see :) Personally, I don't really care since I'm not ready to change my Windows box yet, and this one won't have the kind of power needed to run Vista.
