Meebo Release #14 - Chat Logs

Welcome to Web 2.0. As much as that buzzword (and its rampant over-use) annoys the [explitive] out of me, there are some web applications out there that really do represent something fresh and exciting. Meebo is at the top of my list.

If you haven't heard of Meebo yet, and you happen to be an IM user, it is definitely worth your time to check it out. It is quickly becoming a full-featured, multi-protocal IM client that is entirely web-based.

The Meebo team pushed their 14th release live on May 4th. Besides the usual bug-fixes that are typical of most software releases, this latest Meebo release added various enhancements to the system, most notable of which is
chat logs. This is one more addition that brings the app ever closer to becoming a viable full-time replacement for desktop IM clients.

  • Wow, this is pretty impressive. If this is unblocked in school I'm in lunchtime IM heaven ;)

  • I've been using this for a while at school, and it's quite useful. Most administrators aren't keen to it as of yet, and therefore haven't blocked the service.

  • I am not sure it's such a great idea to leave a digital footprint of the s&^t I say in chat. ;)

Actually it's a pretty cool ap.

  • Meebo? What a stupid name.

    Sounds like baby-talk.
