Tomorrow's newspaper will be digital

Available from April 2006, Belgian daily newspaper, De Tijd, will be distributed electronically via the first portable electronic reading and writing solution on the consumer market. Since 2001 Philips and the US based E ink corporation have been developing an electrophoretic technology to display content on thin displays inside which bright and dark particles move around in a clear solution. Subscribers will be able to get some new daily content via a Wi-Fi connection or a flash memory card.

A few years ago, we thought that these kind of things were only possible in sci-fi movies. How long till we live in a society like we see depicted in Minority Report?
