How to shop for the best DVD player?

With all the dvd players on the market today, it is extremely hard to make a conscientious choice when selecting one to purchase. We're approaching christmas, and alot of people will probably shop for a new and improved dvd player to give out to their loved ones.

Tom's hardware, a hardware review site, published an excellent online guide to help you make a choice.

"The quality of audio output varies among different CD players, but the range is nothing compared to DVDs. Moreover, the quality gap isn't always determined by how much you pay. What it all comes down to are two key electronic components that largely determine the value of your DVD player."

Please note that the DVD players presented in this guide arent for people with empty wallets. The Cheapest one starts at 220$.

Panasonic's stellar S97 DVD player: 299.98$

Even if you do not want to buy one, this is a very informative article.
